Current works...

June and July I have been working on new paintings that are larger, which is more exciting as well as challenging...!

Combining elements from my previous body of work (liquid, lyrical, free-flowing lines of color) I have chosen to work with of a very soft, light appearance... which allows me to develop an under-painting of numerous glazes; then, with knife work, I build very rich mixed color, applying directly to the surface and mixing as I apply. I have also incorporated subtractive techniques; I'll scrape colors away leaving some initial levels of glazed colors to show through.

I love this new process as it is very free and non-limiting... allowing discoveries every moment I am painting.

The Undercurrent, Breach and The Transformation reflect the direction I am exploring.
